During this summer 2018, I went to Bologna by myself. There, on a place right next to my rented room, there was a group of punks well known in the area for spending their days there together under the arcades, and disappearing at night, to come back the next day. Their strange presence is what made me want to paint. I sat in front of them with paper and acrylic and started to paint. One of them came really close to me and told me to fuck off in a sort of possessed intimidating way. But another man, whom I came to know as Angelo, said "We're bored, let her paint." And so I kept going. The group liked what I was doing, and soon several asked me to make their portrait. Angelo became my very close ... - no word is accurate to describe our relationship. He became my very special accointance, holding a very specific new place in my heart, new place of which he is still the king today. We were inseparables the whole month I stayed there.

Back in France, I received some phone-calls from Angelo through other people's phones as he didn't have one. At some point it stopped, I wrote a letter to his parents address but it came back to me as unfound.

I reached Alessandro, another friend from Bologna and met him in his new squat in Zurich. There again following him during the day and painting him was our way of establishing a connection.
